Here's what to expect when you visit with us. . .

Where to Find Us:
- We are currently involved in a building project and are meeting in the Family Life Center for Worship. Construction will be completed in the late summer of 2012.
- Oakwood is located in the Oak Grove area of Lexington County near the corner of Mineral Springs Road and Oak Drive. If you visit our church, we have clearly marked entrances on both roads. Click on the Google Maps link for accurate driving directions: maps.google.com/maps.

Worship:
- Our worship style is blended. We use a blend of contemporary and traditional music. We also use video, drama and other elements to emphasize the theme of each Sunday service. Due to current construction, we are worshiping in our Family Life Center.

Preaching Style:
- Our preaching style is relational and applicational. Our pastoral staff both teach and preach with a strong emphasis on application to daily life.

Dress:
- Our dress style is casual. Dress on Sunday mornings will range from very casual (jeans and tees) to a few suits and ties. Casual is great!

Guest Recognition:
- Visitor Information Cards will be available on the Welcome Table. When you are ready to get further information about Oakwood please complete one of these cards and place it in the offering plate or give it to one of the Pastors as you leave the service. Visitors are not asked to raise their hands or stand up so that they might be identified. You can visit with us as often as you wish and when you are ready for more information, let us know.

Security Measures for Your Children:
- Parents will be asked to register their small children. We register all preschool age children for security purposes. Parents will be given a slip with a number that corresponds to the number of their child. We want you to know that your children are secure while you are in Sunday school and worship services.

Bible Study Approach:
- Our Bible study approach emphasizes Sunday school. Our primary discipleship time is Sunday school at 9:15 AM on Sunday mornings. We have classes for all ages. We also have classes for men and women together as well as separate. If you visit with us, ask a greeter about Sunday school and they will get you connected with someone who can help you find your Sunday school class.

Small Groups:
- Our ministry includes small groups. You can experience deeper community by joining a small group. Small groups are an ongoing ministry. To find out about a small group contact Pastor Larry Scott at lscott@oakwoodbaptistchurch.com

TreeHouse for Kids:
- On Sunday mornings during the 10:30 AM worship time we offer a ministry for children in 1st through 5th grades called "TreeHouse." During construction, TreeHouse will meet in the Family Life Center on the Second Floor. You may contact our student minister for more information at msims@oakwoodbaptistchurch.com.
